Avoid Salt and Sugar

It is of no news that the three white poisons – sugar, salt and flour- if consumed in excess, are detrimental to the body. However, sugar and salt in particular take their toll on your stomach even when you do not notice it. Salt or sodium, which is one ingredient that is commonly used in meals, can get your stomach looking bloated and puffy. Eating foods that contain a lot of salt can cause your body to retain water and make your stomach look bigger than it really is.

You have probably heard that sugar is made up of nothing but calories. When you consume more calories than you burn each day, the excess is stored in your body in the form of fat. So a little sweet treat here and there can ultimately wreck your shape. In order to have a slimmer figure or a flatter stomach, cut down on the quantity of sugar and salt you consume. Count calories if you must; it is easier to gain it than to lose it. You can trade calories and all the wrong types of high carbohydrate meals for fruits and vegetables.
