Entertainer Teyana Taylor and her NBA star husband Iman Shumpert have welcomed baby number two Rue Rose on September 6 in their bathroom. The couple celebrated the birth of their second daughter on their individual Instagram accounts on September 8 with the cutest caption.
“At 3:28 am on Sept 6th, 2020 Rue Rose decided that the baby shower thrown for her and mommy was too lit,” Taylor wrote in an Instagram caption accompanying two videos of her newborn.
Photos and videos from her baby shower featured on her Instagram Stories a day before. “[Rue Rose] didn’t make the party but she managed to make the next day her birthdate!”
“Our newest edition entered the world in the water and came out looking around and ready to explore!” she continued.
The Made It singer unexpectedly had her first daughter, Junie, in their bathroom at home with the help of her husband in 2015.
“You know what’s crazy, even though the Junie story is crazy, it kind of put me in a comfort zone where I don’t … I don’t know if I want to go to the hospital for this next baby,” she said.
“I’m considering home birth, and I’m actually going to be doing it with Erykah. Her and Iman are going to deliver my baby. I’m super excited. I’ma have her just sing her verse from ‘Lowkey’ to me to calm my nerves.”
“If I did it once without any type of warning I can do it this time fully prepared. Giving birth like that was scary, but it was such a powerful thing. It felt so powerful,” the 29-year-old revealed to Nick Cannon on his Power 106 radio show.
News of Taylor’s pregnancy hit our screens in June via her music video for her single “Wake Up Love” which features her husband and Junie. The couple tied the knot in 2016.
