Former NBA star Delonte West recently had another run-in with the law after he was arrested in Virginia over an alleged robbery incident.
Per TMZ Sports, West, 42, allegedly robbed an individual in the 5900 block of Richmond Highway in Belle Haven in December 2025. Authorities told the entertainment news outlet that an individual contacted law enforcement to file a robbery and assault report at the aforementioned location.
The individual who reported being robbed and assaulted also told law enforcement that the suspect fled the scene in the wake of the incident.
Officers who responded to the scene ultimately found out that the culprit was still around the area. The individual who called the police then pointed at a man nearby and identified him as the culprit. The suspect in question was West, and he has reportedly had multiple encounters with police.
Police ultimately took West into custody before he was later released on a $1,000 recognizance bond. Authorities also said that West allegedly robbed the victim of $23.

This isn’t the first time West has found himself on the wrong side of the law. Police arrested him in November after he was found unconscious. He also refused to be taken to the hospital after officers tabled that offer, so they decided to arrest him in an effort to make sure he was safe, TMZ Sports reported. He was said to be heavily intoxicated at the time.
He was also arrested on two occasions in 2024. The 42-year-old was arrested in June after he violated the conditions of his release and resisted arrest. He was arrested again in November on suspicion of trespassing.
Responding to his recent arrest, West’s attorney, Brandon Sloane, told the entertainment news outlet that he believes the information linked to the case will expose other angles to the story.
Sloane also said that he is “proud of Delonte as he has used this process to seek out help and been released on bond to a treatment facility. We all look forward to his continued progress, and Delonte is particularly appreciative of the numerous thoughts and well wishes over the last several weeks.”
During his NBA career, West played for teams including the Boston Celtics, Seattle SuperSonics, and Cleveland Cavaliers.
