Four Bob Marley songs that are not “Redemption Song” but speak to our times

One Love

Another of the famous songs, One Love was released along The Wailers in 1977.

This song is a call to action for a community who should realize their interests are connected. In our times, there is no better example than the challenge of the climate crisis.

But the song is also an analysis of the individual’s place in this community that should come together. Marley sings:

“Is there a place for the hopeless sinner
Who has hurt all mankind just to save his own?”

He concludes that there should be a place for everyone if we are going to “feel alright”.
