Building a Wall
In the run-up to the 2016 elections, Trump promised to build a wall along the U.S-Mexico border. The wall which was supposed to be 2, 000-mile long is to stop permanently the movement of migrants from Tijuana in Mexico into the U.S. State of San Diego.
Before then, however, the border had in place a 654 miles barrier along the Southern border to stop pedestrians and 300 miles anti-vehicles fencing to stop vehicles from moving into the U.S.
Since January 2017, a whopping $9.8 billion has been secured to construct approximately 509 miles of “new border wall system”, according to US Customs and Border Protection (CBP).
