Afrikaburn

Afrikaburn brings together a community of participants who come together to create art which includes musical performances, theme camps and mutant vehicles. The festival is held at the Tanka Karoo National Park in the Cape Province of South Africa. The festival rests on a number of guiding principles which include self-reliance (that is why participants are expected to bring items that can last them throughout their stay at the event grounds), gift giving (a highly encouraged activity), communal effort, civic responsibility, teaching and passing on knowledge of one’s culture to another person among others.
