Viola Davis was the highest Black earner in the 2021 Oscar nominees. Forbes estimates that she has made $7 million from acting over the last 12 months. Viola was nominated for her role in Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom for the just-ended Academy Awards. Forbes estimates her paycheck for Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom to be $3 million.
