‘I can’t wait’ – Ice Cube wants to see Trump in handcuffs

Rapper and actor Ice Cube has said he cannot wait to see U.S. President, Donald Trump in handcuffs after he leaves office. In 2018, he dropped a track titled “Arrest the President” during the Robert Mueller investigation.

Ice Cube has been a strong critic of Trump. Responding to questions on The Breakfast Club about his music career, Cube said, “Yeah I said: ‘Arrest the President.’ They still haven’t gotten to arrest the president. That’s what I want to do.”

Co-host, Charlemagne added, “Well, when he gets out that White House, he’s definitely gonna be in handcuffs.”

Cube replied saying, “Man. I can’t wait to see that, like that [Harvey] Weinstein in those handcuffs, man. That’s a beautiful day.”

Ice Cube whose real name is O’shea Jackson was a household name in the 90s. He is known for songs such as Straight Outta Compton, No Vaseline, It Was A Good Day and You Can Do it. He further clarified rumors that he had stopped doing music.

“I stay in music. I never leave. I’ve got albums out. I’m touring, I got tour dates coming. I never stop. It’s a part of who I am,” the 50-year-old star said. “I love it and it’s really about just being a b-boy and not nothing else, you know? I don’t care about the industry as much as I used to but I do care about the music, doing it, still staying active. I still got stuff to say. So it’s fun.”

According to him, “Arrest the president” was not only in criticism of Trump, but to get fans to vote in the 2018 midterm elections.
