Alajika is an entrepreneur and cinematographer in his own right and the son of oil mogul Folorunsho Alakija who is among the richest women in Africa. Ghaissarfar is the daughter of businessman Mr. Khosro and Mrs. Nooshin Ghaissarifar.  The two met through mutual friends after the death of Mr. Alajika’s first wife due to cancer.

The venue of the wedding, held at the familial home of Sir Winston Churchill costs £350,000 to include gold and marble etched floors. Meals cost £52 per guest and didn’t include drinks. Flower arrangements were £200,000. Their luxurious cake came up to £10,000.  Of course, there had to be a fantastic performance and Robin Thicke graced the stage for a whopping £150,000. The Folarin extended clan was housed in the renowned Blenheim palace which states the costs for rooms to be £33,000 each.  These grandiose prices don’t include the wedding attire of Mr. and Mrs. Alajika. Their traditional wedding was performed in November 2017 in Nigeria.
