In April, it was announced that Kenyan actress Lupita Nyong’o had been selected as French cosmetics company Lancome‘s new brand ambassador. And on Tuesday, Nyong’o leaked her first promotional photo (pictured) for the company.

Alongside her much-anticipated advertisement, Nyong’o wrote:
“The secret I never intended to keep: @lancomeUSA #TeintIdoleUltra24H.”
At the time of the initial announcement of her new position with Lancome, Nyong’o said (in part):
“I am truly honored to join the Maison Lancôme, a brand with such a prestigious history and that I have always loved,” the 31-year-old said in a statement. “I am particularly proud to represent its unique vision for women and the idea that beauty should not be dictated but should instead be an expression of a woman’s freedom to be herself.”
Meanwhile, this is just one of several opportunities the actress has landed in the past few months, with her latest involving being featured on the cover of Vogue‘s July issue.
