He could become the second youngest head of state
If the reports of his age are true, then Colonel Diaw has become one of the youngest people to successfully oversee a coup in any part of the world, post World War II. In Africa, for instance, Valentin Strasser of Sierra Leone comes to mind as the youngest man to overthrow a government.
And if Diaw is appointed to the position of a transitional president, he will become the youngest head of state in post-colonial African history other than Strasser and Michel Micombero of Burundi.
