Samuel L. Jackson
Earlier this month, acclaimed Hollywood actor and film producer Samuel L. Jackson made his way to Ghana and Gabon where he intends to film a documentary on slavery and the horrors and dangers of the Middle Passage during the transatlantic slave trade. Jackson went to Gabon where he met President Ali Bongo and his wife, visited other tourist spots, and met the king of the Benga, the tribe he traces his DNA to. After he got a Gabonese passport, he also visited popular Ghanaian sculptor, Kwame Akoto-Bamfo, who is known for his Ancestor Project.
