To participate in the ‘Year of Return’ celebrations, the American authour and comedian visited Ghana this month. Steve Harvey visited locations that are connected to the theme of the celebrations in commemoration of the 400th anniversary of the landing of the first African slaves forcefully taken from their lands to the United States. His visits to the castles and slave posts reportedly made him cry and led him to amend his perception of the continent and its peoples. He’s currently in Botswana, taking advantage of his time on the continent to see and experience cultures.
