2018 has been a year for women politicians whether on the African continent or in the diaspora. Women have come out to stake a claim on the political scene, which has been dominated by men for centuries.
What’s impressive about these women is that some of them are really young, meaning that the society is slowly dismantling long-held perception about women in power. That should not mean that we still don’t have a lot of work to do on this front.
