23-year-old Rahsaan Curry, from Southern California, has made history in the mortgage industry as the youngest Licensed Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO).
He has joined Kelly Mortgage, a reputable lender based in Aliso Viejo, California, where he will use his knowledge and enthusiasm to assist people and families in realizing their dreams of becoming homeowners.
According to Black Business, Rahsaan was motivated to enter the mortgage lending world by his family’s long history in the sector. His mother taught him about the nuances of mortgage lending when he was a child – after his uncles shared their knowledge with her.
This family connection sparked his interest and ambition, propelling him toward a career in the mortgage sector.
Rahsaan’s father’s instillation of financial literacy and passion for movies also influenced his aspirations. He gained priceless insights and a better understanding of the financial world after participating in a life-changing boot camp on film and financial literacy, organized by renowned actor, producer, director, and philanthropist, Bill Duke.
He had the honor of learning from Karen A. Clark, the respected senior vice president and multicultural strategy manager of City National Bank, who instructed the financial literacy course during the boot camp.
