Still reeling from the blockbuster success known as Black Panther, Michael B. Jordan is using his momentum to fuel black empowerment even further.
Jordan and Alana Mayo are slated to produce the war-drama The Liberators via his production company, Outlier Society in conjunction with Safehouse Pictures. The script for the future movie was written by Madison Turner.
Warner Brothers also joined the roster and recently finalized a script package.
The Liberators “tells the story of the 761st regiment in World War II, an entirely African-American combat unit whose heroism led to the desegregation of the armed forces.” According to Shadow and Act.
Jordan previously starred in the critically acclaimed films Creed and Fruitvale Station.
