Even though popular fighting videogame Mortal Kombat 11 was released just recently, one character and fighter’s ending in the game after defeating every fighter when he’s used in Arcade Mode has got people talking.

After Jackson “Jax” Briggs defeats the main antagonist in the game Kronika, Mortal Kombat, who is also the keeper of time, he uses the new powers he has obtained from her to get the people he loves the most back in his life as well as turn back the hands of time by undoing the slave trade.

“All I wanted was to fix my life. Now I have the power to fix history,” he starts while reversing time with his new powers.

“If I think only about helping myself, what kind of officer am I? What kind of man? I’ve been lucky, my family and I have lived the American Dream. But most people who look like me haven’t had that chance. I owe it to them to put things right,” he continues as an image of the slave trade subsequently appears in the hourglass.

“And I’m not waiting centuries for people to get woke, when I’ve got the power to speed things up. I don’t get it right the first time. Or the second. Or even the third. But eventually, I’ll knock it out of the damn park. My family’s back. The world’s a better place for everyone,” he adds.

The ending was, however, received with mixed reactions on social media. Take a look at some of them below and share with us your thoughts:
