Ackee and Saltfish
This is Jamaica’s national dish. The ackee fruit, which was brought to the Caribbean from Ghana in the 1700s is one of the main ingredients together with saltfish. Onions, tomatoes, scotch bonnet pepper, garlic and spices are among other ingredients.
