Only two black men feature in UK’s richest 30-Under-30 entertainers 2019 list

Actor John Boyega and rapper Stormzy are the only two black people of African descent in the most recent list of richest UK celebrities under the age of 30. The list was compiled by Heat Magazine, an arts and entertainment outfit. The list does not include sporting or other white-collar professionals who may be wealthy but not considered celebrities.

The award-winning Stormzy, who is of Ghanaian descent, is a new entry on to the list. He is perched at 14th with an estimated worth of $15 million.

This year, he headlined the popular music festival Glastonbury that saw him rake in both profit and praise.

British-Nigerian Boyega is a star from the Star Wars franchise installments of the last few years. He has also had been in other films such as Detroit and Pacific Rim: Uprising.

His earnings of about $8.5 million put him at 21st on the list.
