Stand-up comedian and actor, Kevin Hart, has for the first time spoken after suffering serious back injuries from a car crash last month.

Hart’s 1970 Plymouth Barracuda, which was driven by a friend crashed into a ravine, September 1 in Calabasas. The accident meant that he required surgery that kept him off his feet for weeks.

In a two-minute long social media post on Tuesday, the comedic superstar detailed the recovery process after the devastating crash.

“Basically, what you realize is that you’re not in control,” Hart said in a voice-over as the video begins. “No matter how much you think you’re in control, you’re not in control. At the end of the day, it can all be over, man.”

In the video, Hart showed himself being assisted by nurses, scenes from himself in the hospital bed and using a walker just to stand up.

“My world forever changed” as a result of the crash, Hart noted in his video.

He finally stated that he believes the accident was God’s way of telling him to slow down and appreciate life.

TMZ reports Hart will not be suing Jared Black, the person behind the wheel at the time of the accident.
