Jamie Foxx walked his eldest daughter and Beats Shazam co-star Corinne Foxx, down the aisle at her lavish wedding to college sweetheart Joe Hooten with pride on Saturday in Los Angeles.

The 56-year-old Oscar winner shared a special moment with his daughter, dancing at her reception just 17 months after suffering a near-fatal medical complication that left him in coma for 20 days and being unable to walk.

“I’m hoping he can get down the aisle without crying,” Corinne, whose mother is Air Force veteran Connie Kline, told Access Hollywood last May. “I don’t think he’s going to make it! He’s really excited, though.”

Footage from the wedding was shared by Garcelle Beauvais, who starred alongside Jamie in The Jamie Foxx Show and White House Down.

“Last night we got to witness and celebrate the love of @corinnefoxx and @joe.hooten,” the 57-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star wrote on Instagram. “Your love and respect for each other is palpable. Corinne, you looked stunning!”

Corinne met Hooten back in college while attending USC, where she earned a degree in public relations, while he secured a degree in film and TV production.

When Hooten proposed last December after their five-year romance, Foxx, whose original name is Eric Bishop, praised the couple on social media, and said., “You are a perfect example of what being in love is… You care about each other’s life, mental and physical… and you have each other’s back.”

“Congratulations on your engagement,” Foxx wrote to his 31.3 million Instagram followers. “@joe.hooten, when you whispered to me a while back that you were gonna ask my baby girl to marry you, I had tears of joy in my soul. And @corinnefoxx, you have… and have always had a special place in my heart.”

“You deserve love abundantly. So again, congratulations, you two. I can’t wait to walk you down that aisle. @corinnefoxx, you have a great soul in @joe.hooten. I love you both dearly. I have my tissues ready. #tearsofjoy.”

Foxx is also preparing to celebrate the 16th birthday of his youngest daughter, Anelise Bishop (with former publicist Kristin Grannis), come October 3.

The newlyweds’ wedding registry featured a mix of items, from as cheap as a $65 Issy Granger candlestick to an expensive $1,850 Match Insieme knife set.

Hooten currently serves as the TV department director for John Wells Productions, which oversees projects like MGM+ series Emperor of Ocean Park and Fox’s Rescue: HI-Surf.

Foxx was nearing the end of filming on the Netflix spy comedy Back in Action which premieres on January 17 when he experienced what he initially thought was “just a bad headache.”

“I’ve been through something. I’ve been through some things,” the Grammy winner said while accepting the Vanguard Award at the Critics Choice Association event on December 4.

“I cherish every single minute now — it’s different. I wouldn’t wish what I went through on my worst enemy because it’s tough when it’s almost over… when you see the tunnel. I saw the tunnel — I didn’t see the light. It was hot in that tunnel too, I don’t know where I was going. ‘S***, am I going to the right place?'”
