If you think you have seen the best from the Sparrow Productions crew, then think again. While “Potomanto” was arguably the best movie from Sparrow, receiving nine nominations at this year’s African Movie Academy Awards, here is another offering to get excited about: Ghanaian director Shirley Frimpong-Manso has recently whipped up “Love or Something Like That” for the big screens.

The movie features multiple award-winning Ghanaian stars John Dumelo, Joselyn Dumas, Christabel Ekeh, Nana Mensah, Nigeria’s O.C Ukeje, and a host of other talented actors.
In the movie, a young surgeon’s chance meeting with her ex-boyfriend throws her world into absolute chaos, when she makes a horrible discovery about her past and what could be the end of a great career and beautiful marriage. “Love or Something Like That” tells a poignant story about moving on when there’s no light at the end of the tunnel.
Produced by Ken Attoh, “Love” premieres on April 17th at the National Theatre in Accra at 6:30 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. You can purchase tickets at Koala, Airport Shell, or the National Theatre. For the fanatics out there who cannot attend the venue, you can also catch “Love or Something Like That“ on the Sparrow Station.
