The sister of former New York Giants player Sam Beal is pleading for information that could help her family and authorities locate her brother, saying that he has been missing for seven months.
Per TMZ, Beal’s sister, Essence Zhane, sent out the plea in a social media post. “Tomorrow makes it 7 months since we’ve last heard from or seen my brother. We’ve done everything we could on our end to piece things together and at this point we’re in desperate need of support on all ends,” Zhane shared in a Facebook post on Monday.
“I’m not here to answer a bunch of why’s and how’s I just need this to land in the right direction to gain some form of answers or closure. I’m a Big sister and I need my brother to know that We Love You and miss you and this has been a heavy feeling for months to carry around.”
Zhane also attached photos of her 29-year-old brother and other details about him in her post.
The National Missing and Unidentified Persons System states that Beal was last seen on July 12, 2025, by his girlfriend after he dropped her off at relative’s house.
“He borrowed her vehicle that day and was supposed to head to work; however, he headed to Virginia Beach, VA,” his missing persons profile states. “His girlfriend last had contact with him via phone on 07/13/2025 when he told her he was in Virginia Beach, VA and was going to head back home.”
Beal, however, did not show up at home the following day. “Samuel has not been heard from or seen since the phone call on 07/13/2025. Samuel did not bring anything with him aside from the clothes he was wearing, a pair of slides, and his wallet that contained his banking card and driver’s license,” his profile adds.
One of Beal’s girlfriend’s family members ultimately “recovered” her car in Virginia Beach. “The vehicle was found with Samuel’s shoes and socks on the floor of the front passenger seat along with some sand on the floor.”
Beal was drafted by the New York Giants in 2018, TMZ reported. He, however, opted out in 2020 because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
