The entrepreneur whose innovative hygiene brand is helping women fight a common but serious vaginal infection

Data from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) shows that Bacterial Vaginosis (BV) occurs in 1 out of 3 adult women in the U.S. It is a bacterial infection found in the vagina which results from a change in the normal balance of vaginal bacteria. Antibiotics have mainly been used to treat it but such treatment fails.

Knowing how women suffer from these reoccurring episodes of BV infections, one entrepreneur has developed a wide range of feminine hygiene products under the brand name Peachy Pure. According to Black News, Peachy Pure offers natural feminine products designed to help fight conditions like Bacterial Vaginosis (BV).

Chardell Smith based in Los Angeles launched the product. She battled BV while she was stressed and depressed.

“I had a tough year in 2018. I lost my home and had to move in with my family. I was overworked, stressed, and very depressed. During this time, I kept getting BV, which happens a lot when stressed or depressed. I took it upon myself to find something natural that could help me. That’s how I discovered boric acid suppositories. I continued my research and created a simple and easy product for women to use, which could change their lives drastically,” she told Black News.

In the first year of her business, Smith sold over 200k worth of products and that was when she knew she had something big and then decided to create an entire lifestyle brand that encourages women to live a fulfilling life.
