In Libya, where petrol is reportedly cheaper than mineral water, the country has the highest incidence of car accidents anywhere in the world at a rate of 73.4 deaths per 100,000 people, according to World Facts.

Gross disregard of traffic rules and vehicles with poor safety standards are the major contributing factors leading to carnage on the roads, Jordan Times reports.
