Racist fan throws banana at Dani Alves
In March 2014, Villarreal was fined $14,147.52 by the Spanish Football Federation after a fan threw a banana at Barcelona defender Dani Alves. The Brazilian player picked up the banana and took a bite as he prepared to take a corner in the La Liga game between the two sides.
