In January 2013, a friendly match between Milan and club Pro Patria was abandoned after players walked off in protest at racist chanting from fans. The game was called off after 26 minutes when fans of Pro Patria targeted Milan’s Kevin-Prince Boateng. He reacted to the abuse by kicking a ball at the crowd in the stand.
