Ozak Esu left for the UK in 2008 to study electronic and electrical engineering in 2008 inspired by Nigeria’s energy challenges.

She completed her Ph.D. in 2015, and currently works at Cundall, one of the top engineering consultancy companies in the UK.

Dr. Esu was named one of the Top 50 Women Under 35 in Engineering in the UK by The Telegraph and was shortlisted in the top six finalists of the IET Young Woman of the Year Award in 2017.

Speaking with her company about what it felt like to make the list and cited by Kobini Dr. Esu said: “I am sincerely honored to make this list of truly inspirational engineers shaping our modern-day society.

“Without seeming dismissive of my hard work, and passion for sustainable engineering development; my contributions to engineering are possible due to the tremendous support I continue to receive.”
