Mosquito Bay, Puerto Rico

Imagine yourself in a spaceship soaring through the stars then kayaking on the Mosquito Bay at night is the closest thing there is.

The bay also known as Vieques Bio Bay is one of the most sought-after spots for this underwater beauty by many tourists because its bioluminescence is one of the brightest in the world. There are very strict measures in place to protect the water body here and no swimming is permitted under any circumstances.

Many tourists have troubled the tiny dinoflagellates who emit bright blue lights when disturbed.  To prevent future happenings some protocols have been established that need to be observed to safeguard this magical beauty.
