The formation of black-centered organizations was born out of the need for blacks to be included in the decision-making process.  Often, blacks are marginalized and judged harshly when compared to their counterparts.

The plights of black people are met with little to no empathy, yet, are still imperative in curbing it from becoming a cycle in future generations.  Here are some organizations founded by black women in hopes of advancing the status of people of African descent.
