Robert Mugabe and Grace Mugabe
Born in South Africa, Grace Mugabe worked as a secretary to President Mugabe and became his mistress while he was still married to Sally Hayfron. Their marriage was kept away from the public until the death of Mugabe’s first wife from kidney disease.
The Catholic Mass in 1996 that was titled the “Wedding of the Century” by the Zimbabwean press was extravagant. At the time of their marriage, Grace was 31 years old and Robert Mugabe was 72 years old.
They have three children together.
