One of the fastest-growing sectors in the senior care industry is the $6.6 billion adult daycare marketplace. Research shows that over 1 million people turn 65 every day and by 2030, seniors will be the largest population on earth — about 73 million.

Even though 90 percent of seniors would want to live out their lives in their own homes, 65 percent of seniors will need assisted care in their lifetime. That is where Jessica Wright and Eshonda Blue come in. The two sisters, who have been behind Innovative Senior Solutions since 2007, have unveiled the first ever woman-owned adult day care franchise — Innovative Senior Solutions Adult Day Care Franchise, according to a release cited by Black News.

They started the adult day care franchise in June 2024 to open the door for investors to enter the growing senior care industry, the release said. Both registered nurses who have always enjoyed caring for people, the sisters were inspired to start their business while caring for their grandmother.

“I enrolled in nursing school right out of high school. I always thought I wanted to be a nurse who helped delivered babies. The last thing I wanted I wanted to do was work in anything close to a nursing home,” Blue, a graduate of Georgia Southwestern State University who is the CEO of Innovative Senior Solutions, said in this interview.

“While I was in school, I had a part-time job at the hospital and started to take a liking to those who were in the office as opposed to those who were hands on with the patients. I saw my first glass ceiling at this time.

“After I earned my bachelors, I started looking into management and leadership roles and my first role was in a nursing home. I found out that seniors go to nursing homes to live, not die so my entire perspective changed,” the Georgia native added.

Blue and her sister Wright currently operate several senior care businesses including Adult Day Cares, Personal Care Homes, and Transportation services. In 2019, they sold their home care division for more than $1 million and went on to franchise their Adult Day Care Center model in 2024 after operating five locations in Georgia, the release stated.

“Caring for seniors is our calling at Innovative Senior Solutions. Our adult day care centers offer older adults and adults with disabilities a safe place with supervised care outside of the home. It’s a special place where they can socialize and thrive in a home-like environment for a few hours a day.

“If you’re ready to build a meaningful business of your own with an adult day care franchise, we want to hear from you,” the sisters say on their website.

Innovative Senior Solutions is now the largest Adult Day Care operator in Georgia and the sisters are not done yet as they hope to become the McDonalds of Senior Care. “We desire to be the largest national senior care brand and win in real estate as well,” they said.

Already, Wright and Blue are also behind the Caring 4 Seniors Foundation, a non-profit organization founded in 2012 to give back to older adults in the community.

The sisters, who started with nothing but went on to create a million-dollar business, are also doing well individually.

Wright, an alumna of Darton College and Chief Operating Officer of Innovative Senior Solutions and Innovative Senior Care Consultants, was named a 40 under 40 Honoree by Georgia Trend Magazine in 2016. Wright is also on many community boards including the Americus Housing Authority and Americus Downtown Main Street.

Her sister Blue is similarly on multiple community boards including the Georgia Southwestern State University Foundation, the American Red Cross, and Americus Downtown Development Authority Board.

The sisters believe that their background helped them to get to this level of success. “We grew up in South Georgia away from the big cities most think about when they think about Georgia. Our mother was an educator. Our father was a contractor by trade. We had active grandparents as well. It truly felt like a village raised us. We also grew up being exposed to different races which eventually prepared us to be in the seats we occupy now.”
