Africans are one of the most gifted in the world. And one of the areas they have managed to shine is in the fashion industry.

They have used fashion to showcase the diversity of the rich African culture, as well as, make a statement to the world at large.

Fashion, it is often said, is an instant language. Therefore, a lot goes into deciding on who you choose to design a dress for you in order to appear appealing in the eyes of people.

This is why Face2Face Africa is taking you down memory lane in the early 1900s to look at three African American designers who were the talk of town in that generation.
