Best Animated Short Film
The former basketball superstar won a statuette for his work in the short “Dear Basketball”. The six-minute animated film is centered around a note Bryant wrote in 2015 announcing his retirement from his beloved sport. He is the first black person to be nominated in the category of Best Animated Short Film.
The aforementioned definitely deserves kudos. It should be noted and used as stepping stones to reach the heights we so richly deserve.
