The country is s bordered by Libya to the north, Sudan to the east, the Central African Republic to the south, Cameroon and Nigeria to the southwest, and Niger to the west.

The Republic of Chad is set to have a median age of 16.6-years-old with a current population of 16,033,509, based on the latest United Nations estimates. Chad’s population is equivalent to 0.21% of the total world population.
