Serengeti National Park

It is a great holiday destination principally because of its game-viewing adventure including the massive annual migration of wildebeest and zebra. With one of the oldest ecosystems on earth, its flora and fauna have remained the same for millions of years. Large mammals are found in plenty in the Serengeti region, which has the largest concentration of them globally. The Park has faced threats from illegal hunting and human encroachment due to rapid human population growth, poverty, and the inability of conservation authorities to offer compensation for losses that locals suffer due to conservation.
