Ghana’s parliament leaking

In January 2017, Ghana’s parliament began leaking horribly after a heavy downpour in the national capital, Accra. The rains which were accompanied by windstorm ripped off a part of the roof of the house, destroying some electronic gadgets in the chamber and affecting parliamentary proceedings. The MPs had sat throughout the night to consider a bill brought before it under a certificate of urgency, to amend the Local Government Bill when the unfortunate incident happened. Many of them were seen placing plastic containers and trash receptacles at vantage points due to the leaking roof. It was truly an ugly sight according to many.
