Veteran actor Denzel Washington is being praised for being compassionate after a video of him helping a distressed man who was standing in a street in Hollywood facing oncoming traffic was circulated on social media.
According to TMZ, the Training Day actor was driving on Thursday when he spotted the individual, a reportedly homeless man, on the street. Washington, who was wearing a face mask, got out of his car, talked to the man, and managed to get him to safety on the sidewalk.
In the video, the police, who arrive at the scene, can be seen talking to the man and Washington. The man is later arrested but Washington still hangs around, waiting to make sure he is ok. He is also seen holding food and a drink he reportedly got for the distressed man.
