One of the biggest annual music and arts festivals in the world, Coachella came to an end on Sunday, April 22. The highly successful event saw electrifying and unforgettable performances from some of the world’s favourite musicians.

Africa, in particular, was buzzing when it was announced Nigerian afrobeat star Wizkid was billed to perform at the event.

His set was however postponed to the final weekend of the festival due to some visa issues his band was facing.

His absence left some fans and people on social media wondering why he did not perform. Take a look at some of the reactions. Some were hilarious though.

Wizkid’s camp and Coachella organizers are yet to release a statement on his inability to perform.

In as much as the Starboy was greatly missed, other African artists/ artists of African descent including South African DJ Black Coffee, Nigerian-American singer Jidenna, Ethiopian-Canadian singer The Weeknd, Moroccan-American rapper French Montana and Ethiopian-American singer Kelela, graced the stage.
