Fathy, an Egyptian activist, got into trouble for hitting out against national institutions for failing to protect women from sexual harassment and calling out the failing state of human rights in the country. She had posted a video on Facebook leading to her arrest on charges of ‘insulting all the institutions of the state” and undermining patriotism.
