The Milwaukee Police Department has confirmed that a 7-year-old boy who was abducted outside his home at gunpoint has been safely found.
According to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, Jamal White was outside his home when he was abducted on July 11. An unknown man wearing a black face mask is said to have abducted White and put him in a white Jeep Renegade.
The Milwaukee Police Department in a statement on July 12 said that White was ultimately found safe.
“Jamal has a been located and is safe,” authorities said. “The Milwaukee Police Department would like to thank everyone for their assistance in this matter.”

Several residents in White’s neighborhood gathered after they got word that the minor had been found. White’s cousin, Nikki Harrington, expressed her excitement and relief over the 7-year-old being found alive. She also said that their family contacted police after they received a tip regarding the location where he was found, adding that authorities then responded to the scene. Three men at homes linked to the abduction of White were arrested’
Harrington also said that she did not know the circumstances surrounding the incident, adding that their family was waiting for police to get to the bottom of the case.
“We appreciate the community,” Harrington said. “It was definitely a team effort.”
