Clearly showing a brazen disregard for both national and international calls to stop the violence, Boko Haram upped the ante by reportedly attacking another village, killing at least 150 people, according to CNN.

Reportedly yelling, “God is great,” Boko Haram terrorists, who donned military uniforms, waged 
a devastating assault against residents and the police forces of town Gamboru Ngala located in Borno State on Monday afternoon, with reports of the assault just hitting the news on Wednesday.
Boko Haram’s alleged attack was cruel and clearly meant to take as many lives as possible, with their synchronized use of rocket-propelled grenades and hand-thrown bombs in to a vibrant marketplace.
And when desperate citizens ran for cover in nearby buildings, Boko Haram is said to have set fire to them, eliminating any form of refuge.
According to Nigerian Senator Ahmed Zanna, the local police station fought valiantly during the 12-hour attack…until bombs were used to remove the roof off of the police station, effectively killing 14 police officers.
The final death toll is thought to be close to 300.
On Tuesday, the United States offered their help to Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan who accepted.

The agreement involves setting up a “coordination cell” at the U.S. Embassy in Abuja.
“U.S. officials will establish a ‘coordination cell’ to provide intelligence, investigations and hostage negotiation expertise, U.S. State Department spokeswoman Jen Psaki said. The cell will include U.S. military personnel, she said.”
A military official added that U.S. military assistance “will likely be limited to intelligence, mission planning and hostage negotiations,” seemingly barring the involvement of U.S. troops.
With Boko Haram stepping up their offensive by the hour, it remains to be seen whether the United States will continue to act in a purely advisory role as opposed to an active, combative one.
Either way, the fact that this attack occurred two days ago amid Boko Haram leader Abubakar Shekau’s admission of guilt and alleged abduction of eight more girls — all in the same day — suggests that Boko Haram is clearly a well-coordinated, resourced terrorist group that will need ample resources in order to be wiped out.
