An unidentified computer applications teacher at the Watson B. Duncan Middle School in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida, has been reassigned from after it was found that he had criticized President Donald Trump in one of his quizzes.

According to information from the school district that was made available to CNN, the teacher’s new designation does not involve direct contact with students.

The quiz, which is still available online, was administered on a mobile and web-based study application called Quizlet, reports the CNN.

Quizlet trains students through digital flashcards and a variety of games and tests. It is a set of questions “created by individual users, each of whom control both the content of the study material itself, as well as who can view and edit study content they have created.”

A parent, Cameron Cary, complained after his daughter returned home with a screengrab of one of the questions which referred to President Trump as an ‘idiot.’

“This was an actual question on my daughters middle school test today. Furious. Going to raise some hell with the principle. Indoctrination will not continue. (See word “idiot” at the end of our presidents multiple choice answer). Not having it!” Cameron posted.

After approaching the school administrators and showing them evidence of the question which was part of the multiple-choice quiz, school authorities took action by reassigning the teacher.

Managers of the school then sent a group letter to all parents apologizing to them and assuring them that appropriate actions are being taken against the teacher, reports NY Post.

“A question on a quiz given by your child’s Computer Applications teacher yesterday was brought to my attention this morning. The question was inappropriate and demonstrated an unacceptable lack of good judgment on the part of the teacher. An investigation is now underway, and the teacher has been reassigned during this process,” Watson B. Duncan Middle School’s principal, Phillip D’Amico, wrote in the letter.

He continued: “Because this is an open inquiry, I am not at liberty to share any additional details with you at this point. I apologize for this incident, and for the offensive verbiage used in the question. Thank you for your patience, and your continued support of Watson B. Duncan Middle School.”

WPTV reports that the unidentified teacher remains employed with the district pending the outcome of an internal investigation.
