The quest to negotiate our way from carbon-intensive sources of energy, particularly fossil fuels, must be a truly global campaign for obvious reasons.
As such, the unspoken slogan for a more sustainable world is “no nation left behind”. Questions then come up about how Africa will cope in these times.
Alternative energy is not cheap which means the poorest nations of the world would have a longer way to go. But Africa’s geography and climate make the continent ideal for renewable energy bandwagon.

So far, African governments are incentivizing small-level renewable resource investments in their country. Thankfully too, almost all of the continent’s countries have some form of a sustainable energy plan.
The plans are succeeding in some countries better than others. But that is okay, insofar as examples on the continent remain for all.
