Philanthropy Day

by Sandra Appiah, 12:00am October 26, 2011,

Do you work for an organization looking for volunteers? Philanthropy Day

Are you a professional, committed individual with a passion for Africa and skills to leverage?

ConceptLink wants to help you out.

November 15th marks National Philanthropy Day. It’s the season for giving, and we want to recognize philanthropists who have demonstrated great generosity towards nonprofits making a difference throughout the world.

But, even if your bank account keeps you from the same giving circles as the Rockefellers, there are still plenty of ways you can show your philanthropic spirit! ConceptLink is hosting Africa Philanthropy Day: A Volunteer Recruitment and Networking Event. This New York City event is open to individuals who are looking to give of their time and resources and to Africa-interest nonprofits that have volunteer opportunities available. (By the way, if your organization is in the NYC area but you can't attend the event, that's OK! Register and we'll make sure your organization's opportunities are represented.)

Come mix, mingle, network, and launch the start of the holiday season with us! The event takes place at The Bubble Lounge 228 West Broadway, New York, NY. Drink and food specials will be available.

Follow the conversation and start connecting on Twitter at #APDNY. RSVP here today: http://africaphilanthropyday.eventbrite.com
