8-year-old Brooke Lauren Sumpter is the CEO of Brooke LauRen Children’s Brand, and she is already gaining recognition for her work.

Her finest moment came when the Emmy-nominated actress, Times Bestselling author, and entrepreneur, Tabitha Brown, adorned a dress made by her for the 2022 Children’s and Family Emmy Award Ceremony

Sumpter, filled with joy at the turn of events, shared her thoughts on Instagram, saying, “Look at 7-year-old me doing a fitting and alterations for @iamtabithabrown for the Emmy Awards. Who would’ve ever thought My first trip to Cali would be for my designs… I am extremely grateful and I definitely had a blast!!!! Thank you so much @iamtabithabrown.”

Dressing celebrities aside, the young entrepreneur has made history twice, according to Shine My Crown. Firstly, she became the youngest person to showcase her designs during New York Fashion Week when she was 7 years old. Secondly, Sumpter is the youngest person to have her clothing store in a mall.

Sumpter took sewing lessons at the age of three, and by the time she was five, she had opened her first retail location under her company name, Brooke LauRen Children’s Brand, at Menlo Park Mall, according to RLS Media.

In addition, the eight-year-old CEO of @brookelaurenchildrensbrand is getting ready to introduce a new collection, and she knows exactly what she wants her brand to stand for.

In an Instagram teaser for her next collection, the young designer pointed out: “My Focus is not bigger, it’s quality. And I want to make sure that it’s something I’m proud of years from now.”

A few months ago, the young prodigy made an appearance on The Tamron Hall Show, where she talked about her designs, her notable accomplishments in the fashion world, her experience designing Tabitha Brown’s Emmy dress, and much more.
