A Louisiana woman pleaded guilty to conspiracy to commit murder in the death of a 5-year-old boy whose body was found in a suitcase in Indiana in 2022, WLKY reported. Dawn Coleman entering the guilty plea comes after authorities charged her as well as Dejuane Anderson – the deceased minor’s mother – in connection with the 5-year-old’s death. But Anderson, who is from Atlanta, is yet to be apprehended.

As previously reported by Face2Face Africa, Cairo Jordan’s body was found in a suitcase in April 2022. The discovery of the minor’s body also came after Anderson allegedly claimed for months that her son was possessed by demons.

Coleman admitted to assisting Anderson in disposing of her son’s body at the location where his body was found. In the wake of the discovery, authorities charged Coleman with neglect of a dependent resulting in death and obstruction of justice while Anderson was charged with murder.

An investigation into the circumstances surrounding Cairo’s death determined Anderson took to social media on multiple occasions to claim her son required an exorcism because he was possessed by a demon, FOX5 Vegas reported. And Coleman, whom Anderson referred to as her sister, was also accused of being involved in the minor’s killing. She was ultimately arrested in California on October 19.

Per court documents, Anderson took to Facebook on December 5, 2021, to share a post about her son and exorcism. She shared subsequent posts claiming that she used her blood to perform a ritual that was linked to her son. She is also said to have sent more posts during March. In one of them, Anderson claimed her son had been possessed by a demon.

“Stop getting caught up in the vessels of this realm. You guys get caught up with how old the body is, if they adult and kids, etc. Don’t even know it’s a full-grown demon in the child body telling you what to do because you didn’t choose your soul. Better start using your 3rd eye,” a March 15, 2022, post by Anderson reads.

The documents also state that police engaged Anderson on a chase in South Carolina some days before she shared that post. Her son as well as Coleman were passengers in the car. And though Anderson was ultimately arrested and jailed, she was released later.

Anderson allegedly continued sharing social media posts about exorcism and a child possessed by a demon. Authorities were also able to establish Anderson and Coleman were in Pekin, Indiana on April 14. Two days later, an individual hunting for mushrooms around the location the two suspects were said to be, found Cairo’s remains in a suitcase, FOX5 Vegas reported.

Police said no one contacted them to report Cairo missing. Court documents also stated that the suitcase that contained Cairo’s body was spotted in pictures and videos Coleman posted on her social media platforms.

It was later established Cairo’s death was caused by an electrolyte imbalance from a severe stomach ache, WLKY reported. Coleman’s sentencing is scheduled for this month.
