The divorce between Lisa Bonet and Jason Momoa is now official after the pair went their separate ways in 2020. As previously reported by Face2Face Africa, the pair’s divorce proceedings went smoothly from the onset as they settled their divorce just a day after Bonet, 56, filed for the annulment of their marriage.

Court documents revealed that the pair had agreed to the terms of their separation a day after Bonet filed the papers on January 8, ET initially reported. The documents also revealed that the pair’s date of separation was October 7, 2020 – which marked their 3rd wedding anniversary.

Per The Associated Press, the marriage between the Enemy of the State actress and Momoa, 44, was dissolved by a Los Angeles County judge on Tuesday, July 9.

The former couple married in 2017 after dating for several years, and they share two children – Lola Iolani, 16, and 15-year-old Nakoa-Wolf. Per the terms of the settlement agreement, Bonet, whose real name is Lilakoi Moon, and the Aquaman star would have joint custody of their two children as well as cover costs that they’ll incur. This is also devoid of any official child support payment. The pair also gave up their right to spousal support.

The official dissolution of the former couple’s marriage comes after the pair announced they were “parting ways in marriage” in January 2022.

“We have all felt the squeeze and changes of these transformational times… A revolution is unfolding ~and our family is of no exception… feeling and growing from the seismic shifts occurring And so~ We share our Family news~ That we are parting ways in marriage,” the former couple jointly said in the January 2022 statement on Momoa’s Instagram.

“We share this not because we think it’s newsworthy ~ But so that~ as we go about our lives we may do so with dignity and honesty,” the statement added. “The love between us carries on, evolving in ways it wishes to be known and lived. We free each other ~to be who we are learning to become…”

“Our devotion unwavering to this sacred life & our Children,” the statement continued. “Teaching our Children What’s possible ~ Living the Prayer May Love Prevail ✨ J & L.”

Though separated, the pair seem to be on good terms as Momoa in March 2022 told ET that he and his ex-wife remain “family.” He also sent a Christmas tree to her residence that December.
