American rapper and singer Gunna and the Black Music Action Coalition (BMAC) have revealed a $500,000 project that will grant 30 households in the South Fulton region of Georgia a $1,000 monthly allowance.

According to a Complex Music report, this initiative will supply funds to chosen families residing within the 30349 area code, showcasing the strength of “collaboration and innovation” on a local level.

The initiative, billed as the Gunna x BMAC 30349 Guaranteed Income Program, had South Fulton’s Mayor, Khalid Kamau, speak to it, where he described it as a “transformative step” for the development of the city.

“I am proud to support this initiative and look forward to seeing the positive impact it will have on the families in our community,” Kamau said on Tuesday.

The program is scheduled to kick off on September 18, and the families chosen will benefit from a guaranteed monthly income for a year, along with access to support services provided within the initiative.

Gunna, known for his charitable work through events like Gunna’s Great Giveaway, admitted that the income project is driven by a shared goal of uplifting his community.

“Partnering with BMAC to introduce the Guaranteed Income Program in South Fulton is a significant step toward enhancing these communities and transforming the economic landscape of the city,” he added.

This initiative could go down to impact the lives of many in the South Fulton region of Georgia, and Gunna’s efforts portray the vital need for music and society to heavily rely on each other in many spheres of life.
