Beyoncé is set to appear at a Houston rally for Kamala Harris this Friday.
According to the Washington Post, the famous singer and songwriter will attend the rally alongside her mother, Tina Knowles, and country music legend Willie Nelson. The information comes from sources familiar with the planning, who spoke anonymously to preview the unannounced appearance.
For months, fans and political observers have wondered where Beyoncé stood on the upcoming election, with some questioning why she took so long to take a public stance. Now, the wait is over.
Beyoncé has been considered one of the most impactful potential surrogates for Harris, alongside pop star Taylor Swift, who endorsed Harris in September but has not yet appeared at any events.
Harris has frequently used Beyoncé’s Grammy-winning song “Freedom” as her walk-on music at rallies. There were even rumors that Beyoncé would perform on the final night of the Democratic National Convention, though no such performance was ever planned.

In recent weeks, several celebrities have lent their support to Harris, including Oprah Winfrey, Lin-Manuel Miranda, Matt Damon, Robert De Niro, and Lizzo. On Thursday, Bruce Springsteen is scheduled to perform at a rally in Atlanta alongside Harris and former President Barack Obama.
Beyoncé has supported Democratic candidates in the past, performing at a rally for Hillary Clinton shortly before the 2016 election.
Meanwhile, Donald Trump has criticized the support of celebrities for his opponent. After Taylor Swift endorsed Harris, Trump posted on Truth Social, saying, “I hate Taylor Swift.” Trump’s celebrity endorsers include country music stars Lee Greenwood and Jason Aldean, with Kid Rock performing and Hulk Hogan speaking at the Republican National Convention on Trump’s behalf.
As anticipation builds, members of the BeyHive and supporters of Kamala Harris are eagerly awaiting Beyoncé’s appearance.
